AO NANG, KRABI 4 days 3 nights (5th January – 8th January)

Weekend’s Getaway with a total number of 8 people.

 

Accommodations: Phanang Place Hotel; walking distance to Ao Nang Beach + accessible to cheap and halal local foods.

Budget: RM600 (excluding accommodation); flight ticket depends on season

 

Environment: Beachside area + row of shop lots.

 

Weather: 28 – 32 degree Celsius (day), 19 – 20 degree Celsius (night), a little rain

Transportation: Van (Airport – Hotel: Hotel – Night Market, Hotel – Airport; 400 baht/person/ride) Scooter 125CC (250 Baht/day), Motorbike 110CC (200 Baht/day), Tuk Tuk

 

Activities that we spend on during our trip: -
Honestly, we did not spend much money on the package activities as we opted for the Island Hopping package which was enough for us.We enjoyed chilling and just strolling around the Ao Nang area. In the area, there is a long row of shop lots selling souvenirs, essentials, massages services, saloon, tattoo, and etc. It is near to the coastal area of Ao Nang, therefore you can experience the breeze and vibes coming from the beach.  Nevertheless, here are some tips for your future references: -

 

Island Hopping (3400 Baht): 7 islands [Pha Nang Cave – Koh Tan Ming – Koh Si – Koh Tub – Chicken Island – Poda Beach – Snorkelling experience] + private longtail boat.We specifically ask for a private boat because we wanted to have a fulfilling experience with one another + you can strike a pose at the front edge of the boat. The tour took one day starting from 8 am till 5 pm. Snorkelling equipment is available for free but just remember not to lose them or give a goodbye kiss to your RM 210 (penalty for losing the equipment).

*In addition, there are other kinds of island hopping such as 4 island route, Phi Phi Island Route and etc.

 

Krabi Town Night Market (only on the weekends): We rented the same van that picked us up from the airport. We went to the local market and decided to experience the local eateries, street vibes and etc. in one whole night. 

 

Sunset View Seafood Restaurant (Crab Company Restaurant): On the 3rd Night of the trip, we reserved a table of 8 to have some sort of a grand seafood dinner + birthday bash celebration at the restaurant. The restaurant has such a splendid sunset view. So, do be there near the sunset time and you can experience a majestic view of it.

 

Indulge in cheap massage and manicure + pedicure: In front of the beach area, we saw a nice building which turns out to be a massage parlor name Blooming Massage that has affordable services. Besides that, there are plenty other of massages area you can experience if you in for it!

 

Night Activities: -
Besides hanging out at the cheap local eateries and playing Uno/mafia, we were entertained by the fire show and also some jazz band by the beach. You can check the schedule for the fire show but mostly it is around 9 pm – 10 pm.

 

There are plenty of other activities that you may consider based on your liking: -  

1. Hot Springs and Crystal Pool

2. Kayaking at the Mangrove Forest Area + Sunset View

3. Elephant Trekking experience (ride on + shower)

4. Rock Climbing

 

And many more…

 

Side note: Before the trip, we wanted to experience the hot springs + crystal pool, but we found out that one of the crystal pool was closed for maintenance and the remaining pool was packed with a lot of visitors. Therefore, we did not want to waste our money on something that we couldn’t experience it in peace. But do check it out if you have the chance!
